Matunda Girl Trizah Muhenje Carries Kenya’s Flag to Miss World
Ivy Trizah Muhenje, the reigning Miss World Kenya 2026, is preparing to represent the country at the 75th Miss World Festival in Vietnam, scheduled to run from 9 August to 5 September 2026.
The 23-year-old, who hails from Matunda Town in Kakamega County, was crowned Miss World Kenya on 19 December 2025 in Nairobi. She had previously finished as first runner-up in the 2024/2025 edition of the same pageant.
Trizah is a graduate of the Cooperative University of Kenya, where she studied Cooperative Business Management and graduated in 2023. She is also a professional model and a known football enthusiast who supports AFC Leopards and Manchester United.
Her Beauty With a Purpose project focuses on supporting incarcerated mothers and their young children. She has partnered with Clean Start Africa and visited Lang’ata Women’s Maximum Security Prison to highlight the needs of children living with their mothers in prison.
For residents of Matunda and the wider Likuyani area, her journey is a source of local pride — a young woman from the ground rising to the global stage.
