In a major boost to local agriculture, Kakamega County leadership alongside Area MP Innocent Mugabe have backed a joint venture with the Likuyani ATM Sacco (Afya, Taaluma na Maendeleo) to set up an animal feeds processing plant in Ivugwi.
The upcoming facility is engineered to directly complement operations at the Likuyani Smart Farm located in Sango Ward.
By producing quality, affordable livestock feed within the sub-county, the initiative seeks to significantly reduce input expenses for smallholder dairy and poultry farmers while driving economic empowerment across the region.
