Ikolomani CHPs Receive Bicycles to Improve Healthcare Services
The County Government of Kakamega, through the Department of Health Services, has handed over bicycles valued at KSh 3 million to Community Health Promoters (CHPs) in Ikolomani Sub-County.
The bicycles are meant to enhance mobility and improve access to community-based healthcare services, especially in remote areas.
Speaking during the handover, CECM for Health Services CPA Livingstone Imbayi said the initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of CHPs to reach households, conduct follow-ups and deliver essential health services more effectively.
He also informed the CHPs of the ongoing partnership between the County and Living Goods to enhance digital reporting through the electronic Community Health Information System (eCHIS). The system is expected to reduce paperwork and improve efficiency in community health service delivery.
Chief Officer for Cooperatives Development Mr. Anslem Mulinya urged the CHPs to take good care of the bicycles to ensure their sustainability and maximise the benefits of the investment.
Present during the event were representatives from World Bicycle Relief, Idakho Central MCA Hon. Acadius Liyayi, Director for Public Health Mr. William Olaka, Ikolomani Sub-County Administrator Mr. Wilson Yawola, and Ikolomani Medical Officer of Health Dr. Sendifin Ayienda.
Stay informed. Stay ahead.
