"Mugabe is Hijacking UDA!” – Connie Lusweti’s UDA Loyalists Publicly Slam ODM MP Innocent Mugabe
Likuyani – Drama erupted in Likuyani as UDA members loyal to Dr. Connie Lusweti held a fiery press conference and openly condemned area MP Hon. Innocent Mugabe for organizing a parallel UDA meeting at Moi Girls Nangili.
In the strongly worded public address, speakers accused the ODM MP of interfering in UDA party affairs and attempting to hijack the party structure despite not being a UDA member.

A local UDA representative declared: “We support President William Samoei Ruto… but we condemn the actions of Honorable Innocent Maino Mugabe. He organized a meeting today at Moi Girls Nangili… Mugabe is not a member of UDA; he belongs to ODM. We are not afraid to tell him that.”
Edwin Tisa (Sinoko Ward Chairman) warned of “thugs on the ground trying to hijack the party using underhanded tactics.”
Fatuma Njeri (Youth Representative, Nzoia) said: “Mugabe is playing both sides — sometimes with ODM and sometimes with UDA. He needs to be spoken to so he stops this behavior.”
Dr. Connie Lusweti was present at the press conference, which was organized by her UDA supporters. The group emphasized that they have stood with her since 2022 and remain firmly behind her as she eyes the Woman Representative seat.
