Political Prostitution Exposed: Kidake Relocates Intercontinental Milling Factory from Nangili to Vihiga After Dumping Likuyani MP Bid
Nangili/Likuyani – In a move that perfectly illustrates the politics of convenience, Alex Kidake Malova has relocated his Kidake Intercontinental Milling Factory from Nangili in Likuyani Constituency to Hamisi in Vihiga County — just after abandoning his bid for Likuyani MP to chase the Vihiga Senate seat.
Kidake, who set up base in Nangili after losing the 2022 Vihiga Governor race and loudly promised jobs through milling, value addition, and Chinese investors, has now shifted the entire project away from Likuyani.
In his full statement on Kidake Insights Press Facebook page, he announced:
“We are relocating Kidake Intercontinental Milling Factory to Hamisi in Vihiga County as part of a clear economic vision... This is a shift from handout politics to real empowerment.”
Questions on the ground:
Why move the factory out of Nangili the moment you drop the Likuyani MP race?
Where are the jobs and development you promised to Likuyani youth?
How many more constituencies will see Kidake bring big promises only to abandon them when the seat changes?
This latest flip-flop — from Governor aspirant in Vihiga, to MP hopeful in Likuyani, now Senate candidate back in Vihiga, while relocating the flagship project — raises serious questions about commitment. Residents who welcomed him in Nangili are left with empty promises and a ghost project.
