Nabwera Fires Back at Barasa Over TSC Letters Claim
A war of words has erupted between Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa and Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera.
Barasa had accused Nabwera of selling teacher recruitment letters at KSh 400,000 each, claiming poor families were selling their land to buy the letters. He also complained that his CYSWEP youth were being labelled as goons.
In a quick response, Nabwera hit back at the Governor, saying:
“Barasa imagines every person is a thief like him whom the Auditor General has indicted for robbing Ketraco.”
The exchange has further heated up the political atmosphere in Kakamega as leaders continue to trade accusations ahead of 2027.
