Mumonyonzo Dam Integrated Agribusiness Fair Draws Focus on Agriculture, Aquaculture and Tourism
Nzoia Ward, Likuyani – The Mumonyonzo Dam Integrated Agribusiness Fair was held yesterday at Mumonyonzo Dam in Nzoia Ward, bringing together stakeholders in agriculture, aquaculture and tourism.
The event was led by the Patron and Chairman, Mark Yakulula, and featured exhibitions on various agricultural and aquaculture activities.
Among the key projects highlighted is the ongoing construction of a multipurpose hall with a capacity of 200 persons under the Mumonyonzo Dam Integrated Agriculture and Tourism Project. The hall is being constructed with support from the Tourism Fund.
The project also includes a modern kitchen and is further supported by MESPT.
The fair provided a platform to showcase progress at the dam and the potential of integrating farming, fish farming and tourism to create economic opportunities for local residents.
Questions on the ground:
How will the completed multipurpose hall and modern kitchen benefit the local community?
What other projects are planned under the Mumonyonzo Dam Integrated Agriculture and Tourism initiative?
How can more residents and youth benefit from the agribusiness and aquaculture activities at the dam?
Developments at Mumonyonzo Dam continue to attract attention as a potential hub for agriculture and tourism in Nzoia Ward.
