Mugabe Lands National Scouting Role
Likuyani Member of Parliament Hon. Innocent Maino Mugabe has been appointed to the Executive Committee of the World Scout Parliamentary Union (WSPU) Kenya.
The appointment was made through Gazette Notice No. 13509 dated 23rd July 2026 by Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi.
Mugabe joins other Members of Parliament, Senators, a Governor, and Principal Secretaries on the committee, which is chaired by Senator Tabitha Maureen Mutinda.
The World Scout Parliamentary Union Kenya brings together legislators to support the Scouting movement and promote youth development, leadership and community service through parliamentary engagement.
What this means for Likuyani:
The MP now has a national platform that can be used to push for greater support for Scouting programmes in schools and communities within Likuyani.
It creates an opportunity for local Scouts and youth groups in the constituency to access national networks, training and possible resources.
