Green Commandos Clinch National Boys Football Title
The Kakamega School, popularly known as the Green Commandos, have been crowned the 2026 KSSSA National Boys Football Champions.
St Mary’s School, Yala, delivered an outstanding campaign to finish as runners-up. Both teams showcased exceptional quality, discipline and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
As Kenya’s representatives, the two schools will fly the country’s flag at the upcoming East Africa Secondary Schools Ball Games in Morogoro, Tanzania.
The KSSSA National Championships once again served as a key platform for talent identification. FKF coaches and scouts have already identified several promising players from the tournament for further assessment and possible integration into the national youth teams (U15, U17 and U20).
Congratulations to the Green Commandos on the national title, and best wishes to both schools as they prepare for the regional assignment in Tanzania.
Stay informed. Stay ahead.
