Kakamega Assembly Calls Special Sitting for Tuesday
The County Assembly of Kakamega will hold a special sitting on Tuesday, 18th August 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the County Assembly Chambers.
According to a Gazette Notice issued by Speaker James Wanzala Namatsi, the sitting will deliberate on two key matters.
First is the report of the Committee on Appointments regarding the approval hearing of nominees for appointment as members of the Matunda, Malava and Butere Municipality Boards.
Second is a motion on the alleged non-payment of salaries, statutory deductions and employment benefits by Papaton Security Services Limited to employees who were engaged under its security services contract with the County Government of Kakamega.
The notice was dated 10th August 2026 and published on 14th August 2026.
