County Assembly Begins Vetting of Municipality Board Nominees
The County Assembly of Kakamega has issued a notice inviting nominees for the positions of Board Members of Malava, Butere and Matunda Municipalities to appear before the Committee on Appointments for approval hearings.
The hearings will take place at the County Assembly Boardroom as follows:
Malava Municipality – Monday, 11th August 2026
Jason Lutomia – 8:30 AM
John Juma Matsanza – 9:30 AM
Sarah Muchika – 10:30 AM
Martin Sammy Sikolia – 11:00 AM
Amos Nyangasia Chilasi – 12:00 PM
Emily Miti – 2:00 PM

Nominees are required to collect or download the vetting questionnaire and submit the required documents (including ID, curriculum vitae, academic and professional certificates, and clearance certificates from KRA, HELB, EACC, DCI and Credit Reference Bureau) on or before 10th August 2026.
Members of the public have also been invited to submit memoranda on the suitability of the nominees by the same deadline.
The notice was signed by the Clerk of the County Assembly, Donald K. Manyala, on 3rd August 2026.
