Governor Barasa Holds Consultative Meeting with Likuyani Leaders
Kakamega Governor Fernandez Barasa has held a consultative meeting with opinion leaders from Likuyani Sub-County to review the progress of his administration’s development agenda and discuss priority interventions for the area’s next phase of growth.
In a statement, the Governor said Likuyani Sub-County continues to benefit from what he described as transformative investments by his administration. These include the conferment of municipality status on Matunda, improved road infrastructure, expanded access to quality healthcare, increased water supply, and other key development projects.
Barasa added that he received valuable feedback and proposals from the leaders, which he said would inform planning and strengthen the commitment to inclusive and people-centred development across Kakamega County.
Questions on the ground:
What tangible progress has been made on the ground in Matunda since the municipality status was announced?
Which specific road and water projects in Likuyani have been completed or are currently ongoing?
How will the feedback from opinion leaders translate into visible improvements for ordinary residents?
Residents will be watching to see whether the discussions lead to faster delivery of services in the sub-county.
Stay informed. Stay ahead.
