Lake Victoria North Water CEO Joel Wamalwa Distributes Maize Seeds in Likuyani as 2027 MP Ambitions Heat Up
Likuyani – Residents of Likuyani woke up to free maize seed distribution today as Hon. Joel Wamalwa, CEO of Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency, moved across the constituency giving out seeds to farmers.
The exercise is aimed at supporting local maize farmers ahead of the planting season. However, the timing has raised eyebrows because Hon. Joel Wamalwa is also said to be positioning himself to contest for the Likuyani MP seat in the 2027 General Election.
Many residents welcomed the seeds, saying they will help reduce the cost of farming inputs. Others, however, are questioning whether the distribution is purely a development initiative or part of early campaign activities.
