Joel Wamalwa Officially Moves to UDA
Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency (LVNWWDA) Chief Executive Officer Joel Wamalwa has joined the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Wamalwa was among those present during a meeting of Western Kenya UDA aspirants hosted by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi. The meeting, which brought together aspirants from the region, focused on strengthening the party’s grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Mudavadi used the occasion to urge UDA aspirants in Western Kenya to intensify mobilisation and secure more parliamentary seats for the party.
Wamalwa’s presence at the meeting marks a clear political declaration. The CEO, who has previously shown interest in elective politics in Likuyani, has now formally aligned himself with UDA.
His move comes at a time when he is already facing public questions over the management of water projects under his agency, including recent concerns raised during an inspection by Water CS Eric Muga.
Questions on the ground:
Does joining UDA clear the way for Joel Wamalwa to contest the Likuyani parliamentary seat in 2027?
How will this political alignment affect his role as CEO of a public water agency?
With MP Innocent Mugabe already in the broad-based government, is a direct political clash now inevitable?
Will his entry into UDA change the political equation in Likuyani?
Stay informed. Stay ahead.
